of a new Zenon membrane filtration plant, conversion of existing sand filter to GAC filter, new dosing and treated water pumps, installation of new cable ladders, cabling, MCC and distribution board, relocation of existing equipment including associated civil and electrical works
Wellington Water – Sludge Minimization Project
Consultancy Services for provision of a technical expert for mechanical estimating and supporting services to assist with the independent cost management services for the Wellington Sludge Minimisation Project. This included co-ordinating between the design consultant and ECI Contractor and negotiating price and terms and conditions with the contractor.
Waikato District Council – Whangamarino Water Treatment Plant Upgrade
Tender submission preparation for expansion and upgrade of Whangamarino Water Treatment Plant to meet the demands from the new corrections facility, growing demand in the surrounding districts and more stringent treated water quality requirements. This contract included the construction of the civil, mechanical, electrical and controls work associated with the upgrade of the water treatment plant.
Work involved the supply and installation of a new reinforced concrete clarifier, new reinforced concrete filters, UV disinfection plant, pump building and miscellaneous chemical dosing together with the associated electrical, controls, civil and mechanical works. Scope included PLC programming and screen configuration.
Public Works Department, Fiji Waimanu Rising Main (Water Treatment)
Tender submission preparation for construction of a 500mm nominal bore rising main (approximately 2.1km long) between the Upper Waimanu Pump Station and the Savura Creek surge tank. Construction of a 0.5ML balance tank and associated pipework near the existing Savura Creek surge tank.

Commissioning Management of 30 MW Geothermal Power Project Power Plant and Fluid Collection and Reinjection System including managing a team of 25 professional commissioning engineers and HSE Managers. This included commissioning of potable water and wastewater systems, stormwater systems, process water systems, seal water systems, cooling water systems (including chemical dosing of cooling towers), brine and condensate systems (including chemical dosing, steam and water sampling and testing).
OTP Geothermal Sorik Marapi Geothermal Project, Project Director (Consulting)
Development of project plans, systems and procedures and operational management of $A1 Billion Sorik Marapi Geothermal Project – short mission role. This included planning environmental impact studies and consents for potable water and wastewater systems, stormwater systems, process water systems, seal water systems, cooling water systems, brine and condensate systems.
Toshiba International Corp Pty Ltd, Te Mihi Geothermal Power Development
Tender Advisor/Project Manager – Provided technical advice and prepared cost estimates for the installation of 2 x Toshiba 80MW Geothermal turbines, generators and condensers for the Te Mihi Geothermal Power Development in Taupo, New Zealand. This included process water systems, seal water systems, cooling water systems and condensate systems.
Sumitomo Corporation – 138MW Nga Awa Purua Geothermal Power Station and Steam Separation Plant
On-shore Project Manager leading a PMP Services project and design team for the construction of a 138MW $450 million geothermal power station and steam separation plant at Nga Awa Purua NZ. This included managing the design, construction and commissioning of potable water and wastewater systems, stormwater systems, process water systems, seal water systems, cooling water systems (including chemical dosing of cooling towers), brine and condensate systems (including chemical dosing, steam and water sampling and testing).
Sumitomo Corporation 100MW Kawerau Geothermal Power Station and Steam Separation Plant
On-shore Project Manager leading a PMP Services Project team for the construction of a 100MW $300 million geothermal power station and steam separation plant at Kawerau NZ. This included managing the design construction and commissioning of potable water and wastewater systems, stormwater systems, process water systems, seal water systems, cooling water systems (including chemical dosing of cooling towers), brine and condensate systems (including chemical dosing, steam and water sampling and testing).
Due Diligence for PNOC-EDC Privatisation with SKM UK/ International Power
We carried out due diligence related to the sale/privatisation of a majority shareholding in the Philippine National Oil Company Energy Development Corporation including investigation and reporting on technical and commercial aspects of the company’s operations and condition and viability of power generation assets including water treatment systems. The final value of the acquisition of shares was PHP45,000,000,000 ($NZ1.5 billion).

Project Management Advisor – Provided technical advice and prepared preliminary project programme for the EPC Contract for the design, supply, construction and commissioning of 2x55MW Geothermal Turbine/Generator. This included potable water and wastewater systems, stormwater systems, process water systems, seal water systems, cooling water systems, brine and condensate systems.
Hawkins Infrastructure Ltd, Ramazon Hydro Power Project, PNG EPC Tender
Tender Advisor – Provided technical advice and prepared cost estimates for the EPC Contract tender for the design, supply, construction and commissioning of 2×1.5MW Turbine Generator including weir, intake, sediment basin, forebay, surge tank penstock, powerhouse, switchyard and tailrace. This included process water systems, seal water systems and cooling water systems.
